The wide spiral groove enlarges the sliding surface of the
corrugated sheath, thus allowing for a uniform support of
the tendons. This will avoid increased friction during the
insertion and prestressing of the tendons and facilitate a
steady sliding. Despite the high resistance to bending and
transversal load, the corrugation guarantees an excellent
flexibility. The longitudinally welded sheath ensures that
no leakage will occur. Laitance is unable to intrude into
the sliding channel.
The corrugated sheaths are subject to strict test
specifications and continuous supervision.
